Lily is a 5-6 month old kitty that was found and is now being fostered.  Lily is very playful and happy -- she plays well with other cats and also gets along with the large dog in her foster home.  She seems to have been an indoor cat and currently is not asking to go outside. Roma was found on the side of the road a couple of weeks ago.  She is very very sweet and playful.  The vet thinks she is about 9 or 10 weeks old and she will grow to be around 40 pounds.  She is getting healthier by the day!  She is looking for a forever home to give her lots of love and care.

She is currently on a plan at Banfield on Battleground in Greensboro.

Both girls are very sweet, and submissive to other dogs and humans.
Neither pup shows any signs of aggression. They roll on their back in submission to my older dogs. They have no problems with anyone touching their feet or their food. I can even take their favorite rawhide or any other of my belongings right out of their mouths with no problem. They have never met a human that they don’t love, including kids. They will bark at strangers in the street occasionally, as well as strange dogs, but as soon as they meet them, they are fine. They adore getting in our laps while we are on the couch or recliner, and we are continually working to socialize and house-train them. That has been a bit of an issue, but it is steadily improving. They know that to get their food they have to sit quietly before I will put it down, and they are already responding to the names that my daughter gave them: Penny and Lyla. Charlie and Nancy were abandoned at our house 1 year ago. The puppies were under our porch steps and could not have made it to our house without someone driving in and putting them out. The vet thought they were about 7 weeks old at the time.  Both dogs have seen a vet on a regular basis. They have been spayed and neutered. They are on heartworm prevention, flea and tick medicine, and are current on all their shots at this time. They have been seen by Dr. Kathryn Combs at Lewis Vet. Clinic on HWY 135 toward Eden. I have copies of all their vet records. Dr. Combs thinks they may be a mix of German Shepherd (coloring), lab (web feet) and collie (white chests and tips of their tails). I consider them to be medium size. Charlie is about 45 lbs and Nancy is a little smaller at 35-40 lbs. We do care for both dogs but my husband's heart issues and my recent knee surgery are making it quite difficult to keep them.  They are sweet but very active puppies. They love to run and swim in our pond. Heidi is 29 years old and in great health. My vet agrees that she looks really good for her age and is sound and healthy. She does have a special need, however.  She has very worn teeth, so she cannot handle eating hay. I typically feed her chopped hay and/or beet-pulp as well as senior horse grain. She can, however, eat grass and if I had better pastures, she could probably be managed on a diet of grass and senior grain. I love Heidi dearly -- she is inquisitive and spunky for an old gal. This is Shirley. As best we can tell she is a Palomino colored pony. She is only a little over a year old. She came from a very neglectful situation -- starvation, no shelter, unhealthy liver.  Who would starve a baby, right?!  After special feeding, antibiotics, and a lot of love, Shirley is healthy and well on her way to being a beautiful pony. Jake was found wandering outside our warehouse on March 27th.. He was obviously looking for food to eat and his body mass was all bones . He had a maggot infested collar tied and twisted around his neck and his flesh was exposed which seemed like at one time that collar was embedded in his neck. He was in poor shape. We do not know if he was abused (it is likely)...but we do know he was definitely neglected. Since then he has been to the vet and has had rabies shot, been taking meds for hookworms and was tested for heart worms, which came back positive. I have had him and he has gained some body mass and looks a lot better then he did . He currently is getting an antibiotic, twice a day. He is a brown, boxer mix. He is very friendly and loves affection, but his first love is getting fed -- he eats everything like it is his last meal. He is a survivor and wants to live and deserves a gentle hand and a loving home. He shows no aggressiveness toward anybody or anything..... I am looking to retire or re-home my 16 year old Thoroughbred, Quinn. He was my jumper, but has been diagnosed with kissing spine and can no longer hold up to heavy riding. He would be an excellent companion horse or light trail riding horse. He is also quite well trained in groundwork and loves to learn new groundwork games.  He is the most well-mannered horse I have ever owned. He self loads, stands perfectly for farrier and vet, is a total gentleman in the pasture, and loves to be around people and other animals. He is excellent with children on the ground and leadline. Molly is a great dog -- such a sweet girl.  She is about 20 months old and weighs about 61 pounds. Charlie is a Katrina rescue dog and we have provided him a great home for a little over 4 years now and he is a great dog. He is medium-sized, about 28 pounds, and crate trained. Gramps is a senior unaltered Brittany spaniel. He was found curled up outside a school in the cold rain. Once he got warmed up, he was walking around, sniffing and exploring. Samantha is a sweet dog who was abandoned in King, NC. She had been starved and not cared for very well, her ribs are showing, and she has had some skin issues which have been resolved. She is very good dog who plays well with other dogs, and doesn't seem aggressive around cats. She is a medium sized dog and will weigh between 35 and 40 pounds when she gains the weight she needs to. Leroy is a sweet boy looking for the great home he deserves. He has competed in event shows before, but now he just likes to relax on the trails or do a bit of light riding in the ring. He'd be a great companion horse and usually becomes best buds with all the other horses in the pasture. He's pretty energetic and should probably have a more experienced rider. He has a clean bill of health and has never had shoes. Although Leroy's birth certificate says he's 20, he still thinks he's 4 years old! A kind family took in the mother of these puppies, who was a stray.  They were unaware that she was pregnant.  In mid-January, she gave birth to 14 puppies.  The stray's new family has tried desperately to find homes for the puppies, but as of right now, only one pup is spoken for.  The family is uncertain about the breed of the puppies because the mom was a stray and the father is unknown.  A photo of the momma dog is at the bottom.  If you are interested in adopting one of these cute little puppies, please contact Lauren at lgerringer@gotapco.com.

Desi is a 2 year old lab mix.  She and her siblings were dumped out in the country (as puppies), in a tied garbage bag, and left to die.  A high school girl kept "Desi" and found homes for the other 3.  However, Desi's life has been spent outside in a back field, chained to a shed.  The shed is 500% full of junk, so she can't even get inside for shelter.  To avoid the elements, she has to stand on the front porch of the shed, which is about 4'x6' (if that), but she has a 'too small' dog house sitting up there as well.  Desi is a very sweet girl with a nice temperament, and actually has a shiny coat.  She's in good shape for being tied outside, and the owner states she is up-to-date on her vaccinations and will provide vet records.  Desi is also good with other dogs, as the neighbor's dog goes down to visit with her and keep her company.  She enjoys any attention she can get.  If you are interested in adopting Desi, please contact Jill Bosch at (336) 885-1518.

Sasha is a 9-month old Belgian Malinois.  She is kennel trained and weighs 30-35 pounds.  Sasha is friendly but reserved and can be suspicious of strangers. She was apparently abused as a pup and needs a lot of love and attention. Sasha walks and minds well on a lead but can be stubborn when off lead. She would probably do well in a home with children and has never shown any meanness. Noah was born to a feral mother cat along with his sister about 5 months ago. I am a beautiful and highly curious Siamese cat who is about 5 1/2 years

My name is Jake. I am a very tall boy. My foster mom said I am also VERY handsome. I'm a blonde shepherd mix. About two years old. I'm shy around new people because I was chained as an outside dog for awhile. Sadly, I'm also heartworm positive because I was not given the monthly heartworm preventative. My name is Macy. I am Jake's best friend. I might be a black and red shepherd mix but my foster mom thinks I may be a border collie mix. I think I'm just Macy. I'm about two years old. I love, love, LOVE attention. I ask for it but I do it sweetly -- no pawing or barking. I just look up with my brown eyes and smile and that usually does the trick. Rosie was dumped at a garbage dump in eastern NC. Isis is a 3.5 year old purebred Sphynx cat that needs a loving new home.  She has not adjusted to having other animals in the house, which was ok until her family moved to North Carolina and had to make their outdoor animals, indoor animals.  She requires a home without any other animals. She also requires a weekly bath and ear cleaning, which she has had since she was a kitten and does not fuss about it at all.  She has been declawed, spayed, and is up to date on all of her vaccines. This guy was abandoned off of 85 with a bag of dog food.  He is great with the kids in his foster home (ages 6 and 8) and shows no sign of food aggression.  He is crate-trained, housebroken, and respects boundaries around the house.  He is a little bit of a "talker" when he plays.  His main issue is that he will chase cats or anything that runs.  He responds well to calm, assertive people with his tail wagging -- his foster family has no clue as to why anyone would abandon him.  Please contact David at (336) 312-2072 for more information about this great dog.

Belle is a 3 year old, black and tan bloodhound.  She was rescued from a high-kill shelter, with hopes of training her for search and rescue.  Belle has started her trailing training and is showing promise.  Unfortunately, her owner was diagnosed with a health condition that is going to prevent her from training and working with her.   Belle loves people of all ages and adores having her chest scratched.  She also has an endearing habit of sitting at your feet and leaning against your leg, then looking up at you for some attention. She is dog door trained and house broken.  Belle loves water and will happily splash around in a wading pool.  She also loves to be bathed.  Riding in the car is another favorite activity. Belle is dominant with other dogs, particularly other females.  So, she would do best as an only dog or with a single, smaller and submissive male dog.  She'll chase cats, if they run; if they don't run, she's not interested. A fenced yard is required and bloodhound experience a plus.   Belle is spayed, fully vaccinated, HW negative and on preventative, and microchipped.  If you are interested in this great dog, please contact Kitty at cnkelder@rtelco.net.
