April

BREED: Dwarf Rabbit

AGE:

SEX:  Female

*Adoption Pending*

April was surrendered to us when her owner could no longer keep her. She is a very sweet rabbit who loves to hop around and be petted. She enjoys snacking on her fresh veggies like carrots and parsley and loves to play with sticks and chew toys.  She would make a good pet for any home.

Ginger & Maryanne

BREED: Guinea Pigs

AGE: 1 year old

SEX:  Females

Ginger and Maryanne were surrendered after their owners could no longer care for them.  They are very social and sweet little girls.  They have obviously been handled frequently.  They are both a year old and have been together their whole life.  We would like to keep them together as they seem to enjoy each other's company.  We are still getting to know their individual personalities.  We will keep you updated on them as we get to know them better.  If you are interested in adopting them, please fill out the adoption application above.

Ginger & Maryanne's adoption fees are $20 each or $30 for both.

Ms. Parker

BREED: Dutch Rabbit

AGE: Adult

SEX:  Female

Parker came to Red Dog Farm after being found as a stray.  We believe that she either got away from someone or was no longer wanted and was released to fend for herself.  Domesticated rabbits do not make the transition to the wild so Ms. Parker was very fortunate to find a rescuer who realized she was not meant to be outside.  Parker doesn't seem to have any side effects from her time outside.  She is used to being handled at some point but needs a little bit of a refresher.  Her foster mom reports that she is doing well in her foster home.  Parker can be a little on the vocal side.  She hasn’t been held very much and is a little jumpy when you first pick her up but her confidence is growing each and every day with us. She enjoys snacking on her fresh veggies and hay and loves to play with sticks and chew toys.  All bunnies are a little wiggly at times and may not be the ideal pet for everyone.  If you are an experienced bunny owner, then Parker is the girl for you. We are still getting to know Parker and will update you on her as we get to know her better.  If you are interested in adopting Parker, please fill out an adoption application above.

Parker's adoption fee is $25.00.

Skittles

BREED: Macaw

AGE: 14 years old

SEX:  Female

Skittles came to Red Dog Farm when her owners could no longer keep her.  She is social but still needs some work and would do best with a family or person who understands macaws and has had one previously.  She loves her blueberries, hard-boiled egg, and her toys.  Skittles also enjoys shredding the daily newspaper when you are done reading it.  We are still getting to know Skittles and will update you as we get to know her better.

Update! Skittles is doing wonderful in her foster home!  She is very willing to step up now on her foster mom's arm and loves to help around the house as much as she can.  In fact, she even likes to go to work with her foster mom.  Her main job at work is to make sure that mom takes a dancing break every so often. Skittles loves to dance to Abba, Journey, and most of the TOP 40 songs currently played on the radio. Her foster mom hopes that she will be ready to go to a new home shortly.  Skittles can still be a little tempermental from lacking of handling and will be available once she is a little more socialized.  Please remember though that she will always be a Macaw and would probably do best with an experienced large bird owner.

Update!  Skittles is doing great in her foster home.  She adores her foster mom and will let her do just about anything to her.  She does not particularly care for strangers but will allow a close friend to occasionally pick her up.  Like most birds, especially Macaws, she is quite picky on who her friends are and will let you know her like or distaste for you.  She loves her pine nuts, animal crackers, and fruit.  Skittles will make an excellent addition to an experienced parrot owner’s home.  Don't let her pickiness for petting discourage you because she loves to be doted on by admirers, even presenting alongside her foster mom at education presentations.  As you can tell, Skittles will make an excellent companion for her "one true love".

Skittles' adoption fee is $1,500.00.

Alice

BREED: Mini Rex Mix

AGE: 2 years old

SEX:  Female

Alice came to Red Dog Farm after her owners simply no longer wanted her.   Just like Lewis Carroll’s Alice her world was a lot of “nonsense” before coming to us.   Fortunately, Alice is now enjoying the life she was meant to live.  Alice spends her foster days getting plenty of exercise, attention and lots of healthy treats.  She loves to be petted and doted on.  She is still relearning to trust people and is getting more used to being picked up and held.  Alice is not an aggressive rabbit but due to her wariness she may not be suited for a family with younger children.  If you are interested in adopting Alice, please fill out an adoption application above.

Alice's adoption fee is $25.00.

White Rabbit

BREED: Mini Lop

AGE: 7 years old

SEX:  Male

Poor little White Rabbit came to Red Dog Farm after living his life in a basement for the past several years.  He is a very gentle older rabbit and is simply one of the sweetest rabbits we have ever met.  We have successfully managed to pull him out of his deep and dreary rabbit hole and he is learning that the world for pet rabbits can be so much more.  White Rabbit enjoys being held, petted and loved on by his new human foster family.  We have ensured this older gentleman that he is NOT late for his important date and he will meet his forever family soon. If you are interested in adopting White Rabbit, please fill out an adoption application above.

White Rabbit's adoption fee is $25.00.
