How to Adopt:

If you are interested in adopting one of the dogs shown below, please complete this Adoption Application.

The adoption fee for dogs/puppies is $125, which includes spay or neuter surgery, first round of vaccines, microchipping and deworming.  Please understand that we do not have an adoption facility and all of our dogs are spread out in various foster homes, so we need to know which dog you are interested in meeting.  An approved adoption application is required in order to meet one of our dogs.

There are more dogs for adoption on our referrals page, which lists dogs who need homes but are not in our program.

For dates of upcoming adoption fairs, please see our Calendar of Events.

*Please note - this listing was last updated August 27th and may not be totally up to date.

Nugget

BREED: Shepherd Mix

AGE: Approx. 12 Weeks

Nugget was standing in the middle of the highway and was lucky to be scooped up by a Red Dog Farm volunteer before he was hit by a car.  He is a sweet, submissive boy who loves people and will roll over and give you his belly when you talk to him.  He loves the dogs in his foster home and does not bother horses at all.  Nugget will be neutered this week and will then be available for adoption.  He likes to play but is not hyper at all.  He is being crate trained.  He doesn't have huge paws and will probably be a nice mid-sized dog.  Please complete the application above.

Bella

BREED:  Yellow Lab

AGE: 5 Years

Bella came to us from a lady who is battling cancer and can no longer keep her.  She is an extremely sweet girl who has never met a stranger and any hand will do when it comes to belly rub time.  She is great with kids and dogs but absolutely no cats please!

Farm Dog

BREED:  Black Lab Mix

WEIGHT: 50 lbs.

Farm Dog is a 50 lb. lab mix that wants to be with people and loves to play with other dogs.  He enjoys toys and could be a great agility dog or a couch potato.  He needs a fenced yard and is great with kids. Farm Dog is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines.

Tigger

BREED:  Australian Cattle Dog / GSD Mix

AGE: 4 1/2 Months

Tigger is a very intelligent, high-energy puppy that is looking for someone to either roam a farm with or get her involved in some type of competition training.  Couch potatoes should not apply.  She has been spoiled rotten by her foster family and enjoys long walks and treats.

Kory

BREED:  Chihuahua / Terrier Mix

AGE: 1 Year

Kory is a bit of a shy boy until he really gets to know you.  He was turned in by a nice lady who found him wandering the streets of Greensboro.  He is enjoying the lap of luxury in his foster home and is looking for someone to treat him like the king that he is.

Allie and Alex

BREED:  Mix

AGE: 5 Weeks

Allie and Alex were turned in to Red Dog Farm by a lady who found them abandoned on the streets.  They are good natured little puppies who are having a grand time exploring their new foster home and waiting for that special someone to adopt them.  Allie and Alex are still babies, so they will not be adoptable until about the second week of August.

Update!  Allie and Alex are adopted!!

Lucy

BREED:  Foxhound

COLOR:Tri-color

WEIGHT: 55 pounds

Lucy is a SWEET female foxhound who was found as a stray.  She is very laid back and just likes to lie around and have someone pet her head.  Lucy would make a great companion for someone who doesn't want to have to exercise a dog a lot - she is pretty content to nap and sniff around a bit.  Lucy is very quiet and does not howl much like some hounds.  She is very friendly, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a new home.

Jodi

BREED: Mountain Cur

AGE: 6 Months
WEIGHT:  30 pounds

Jodi is a very sweet girl who would do great with an active owner who likes to jog or hike as she has a lot of energy.  Jodi likes other dogs and never meets a stranger.  She enjoys getting to know new people and dogs when we take her to adoption fairs.  She also likes to give kisses!

Jodi does not like cats.

Jodi has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and is ready for a new home.    Please complete the application above.

Josie (3 legged)

BREED: Boxer Mix

AGE: 1-2 Years
WEIGHT:  40 pounds

"Josie" is a young boxer mix who came to us as a stray with three puppies.  She had a badly injured hind leg when she came to us and had surgery in March, but she re-broke the leg April 25th and will have full amputation surgery April 28th.  Josie is doing GREAT on three legs and seems to be good as new.  The "Red Dog" of Red Dog Farm is three-legged too and still runs the farm at 14 years old!  If you are interested in a sweet three-legged dog, Josie may be your girl!
